What is jSkone?
jSkone is a score keeping application for BQF style Bible quizzing. Here are a few of the features:
- Scores are entered to the database as they happen (a quiz is not lost if a score keeper forgets to save)
- Most of a quiz's history can be edited
- Multiple databases are supported
- It is free for anyone doing Bible quizzing (e.g. A league, a coach keeping their stats, etc.)
What does jSkone need to run?
- PostgreSQL at least version 8.1 (www.posgresql.org)
jSkone uses PostgreSQL, a database server, for storing all of the scores. For a league or tournament, it is definitely recommended to run this on a stand alone computer. It is OK to run the database on the same computer you will be score keeping from if it the only computer going to be used as a score keeper (e.g. a coach keeping score for their stats).
- JRE 5.0 (1.5) or newer (www.java.com/getjava)
